The Little Girl and Bleeding Woman

The Little Girl and Bleeding Woman

As Jesus was walking around Judea teaching the people, a man named Jairus, a leader of the synagogue, came to Him. He begged Jesus with tears to heal his daughter before she dies. Jesus, rich in mercy, followed the man to his house. While on the way a woman who had been in pain, bleeding for twelve years, made her way to Jesus. At the touch of His cloak, she was made well. When they finally arrived at Jarius’ house, it was too late…or so they thought. Jesus had the group of mourners leave and made His way to the girl's room, and at His word brings life back into her lifeless body!

Luke 8:47
In our last episode, we heard how Jesus calmed the stormy seas and cast out a legion of demons with nothing more than his words, demonstrating His marvelous command over both the forces of nature and the forces of evil in this world. As the disciples witnessed His power their wonder and amazement grew, though their faith remained immature and easily shaken. Today we’ll see how the Lord cares for a longsuffering woman and a dying girl. We’ll once again hear how God’s mercy, grace, and healing truly know no bounds and is available to all without respect for age, gender, position, or background.
